Thomas Doyle has been appointed general manager of Clayton Hotel Chiswick ahead of the completion of an impressive refurbishment and extension project at the hotel costing over £20m.

London-born Doyle joins the four-star standard, 227-bedroom hotel and conference centre from Jurys Inn, where he worked his way up to becoming general manager of the company’s Islington property.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for me and an important chapter in the history of the hotel,” commented Doyle. “The completed new look will be unveiled in February 2016 when we hope local residents and businesses in the area will come and appreciate our fantastic facilities, fresh new look and welcoming feel.”

The renovation project, which began in June 2014, includes the addition of 104 bedrooms and the upgrading of existing bedrooms, a new bar and restaurant, state-of-the-art meetings and events facilities, and a lighter, more spacious reception area. The hotel has been fully operational throughout the work.

An extension and refurbishment to the hotel’s meetings and events facility gives it a dedicated area of the hotel with its own entrance and foyer, eight meeting rooms and the impressive Chiswick Ballroom, which seats up to 350 people.

Further appointments to the management team include head chef Gaurav Puri. Gaurav previously worked at Claridge’s as a sous chef. His career has also included positions at The Berkeley, The Langham London, and with the Gordon Ramsay Group.
